Ford Capri MK3 2.8i Bilstein Gas Front Shock Absorber Insert

Replacement Bilstein Front Shock Absorber Insert suitable for all Mk3 Ford Capri 2.8i models.

Please note that Bilstein have increased the size of the bottom rod to prevent the problem of the insert becoming bent which the original thin rods are prone to. The mounting thread through the bottom of the casing needs to be over-drilled and re-threaded with an M10x1 tap.

Ford Capri Front Suspension Struts with Adjustable 2.25" Spring Platfroms & Gas Adjustable Inserts - priced per pair

Outright with new stub axles

Pair of adjustable 2.25" coilover front suspension legs. Fitted with a GAZ 36 point adjustable shock absorber insert and adjustable spring platforms. Supplied with top and bottom spring platfroms. Black zinc anti-corrosion plated.

Note these are outright units fitted with new stub axles.

These are suitable for all late Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Ford Capri models fitted with 5/8" top mounts except for 3.0 variants.

These can be fitted to a 3.0 model but due to a difference in the stub axle, the hub assemblies and discs must be changed to either an OHC or 2.8i spec.

Note coil springs are not included.

Standard replacement suspension top mount suitable for all Ford Capri models using a front shock absorber insert with a 5/8" (16mm) outer diameter rod (Facelift Mk1, all Mk2 & Mk3 models). Note this is not suitable for early Mk1 models using a front shock absorber insert with a 12.5mm (1/2") outer diameter rod.
